Event Details:

The Cowboys Run Club is a recreational group walk/run of approximately 5 kilometers starting from Cowboys Park and ending at Cowboys Dance Hall in Calgary, Alberta. The route of this run will be predetermined and communicated by the run leader throughout the event.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK

I acknowledge and agree that participation in the Cowboys Run Club involves physical activity that may include inherent and unforeseen risks of injury, illness, permanent disability, or death. I understand that these risks may result from a variety of factors including, but not limited to:

• Physical exertion and underlying health conditions

• Uneven terrain, traffic, or changing weather conditions

• Interaction with other participants or members of the public

• Inadequate hydration, slips, trips, falls, or personal negligence

  I confirm that I am voluntarily participating in this activity and that I am physically fit and capable of completing an approximately 5km walk/run. I understand it is solely my responsibility to consult with a physician if I have any concerns about my health or ability to participate safely.

• WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

  In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Cowboys Run Club, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, personal representatives, successors, and assigns, do hereby waive, release, and forever discharge Cowboys Stampede Trail LTD., operating as Cowboys Dance Hall Ltd., its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, volunteers, event organizers, and sponsors (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action, whether known or unknown, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, illness, disability, or death that may be sustained as a result of my participation in the Cowboys Run Club, including claims arising from the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties.

  This waiver does not extend to acts of gross negligence, willful misconduct, or reckless disregard on the part of the Released Parties.

  INDEMNIFICATION

  I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities (including legal fees) brought as a result of my participation in the event and to reimburse them for any such expenses incurred.

MEDICAL TREATMENT CONSENT

I authorize Cowboys Stampede Trail LTD. and its representatives to secure emergency medical care on my behalf if deemed necessary, and I accept full financial responsibility for such care.

PHOTO & MEDIA RELEASE

I grant permission to Cowboys Stampede Trail LTD. to use any photographs, videos, or recordings taken of me during the event for promotional, advertising, and public relations purposes, in perpetuity and without compensation.

GOVERNING LAW & SEVERABILITY

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta. If any provision of this waiver is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF UNDERSTANDING

I have read and fully understand this waiver of liability, assumption of risk, and indemnity agreement. I acknowledge that I am signing this document freely and voluntarily and intend it to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent permitted by law.
